Talks & Festivals

Polly is available to give talks and illustrated presentations on a wide range of topics relating to the natural world and Scotland’s wildlife from red squirrels and wildlife rehabilitation to the importance of habitat restoration, as well as those relating specifically to her books. Renowned for her humorous anecdotes, talks can be adapted to the specific requirements of a particular group or age range. She is also available to hold nature writing workshops for small groups and fun, interactive nature sessions for primary school children.

If you need a speaker for a particular event Polly has a wide range of wildlife-related topics and can hopefully tailor something to suit your particular requirement. She also enjoys working with school children and doing library events. Her book-related talks are Live Literature funded by the Scottish Book Trust. If appropriate, organisers may be able to secure funding through this excellent scheme.

Prices for talks vary depending on the particular group or event in order to make them accessible to all. However, travel costs will always be charged. In some cases a donation for wildlife rehabilitation work may be appropriate in lieu of payment.
